چکیده

Abstract Background Mesenteric ischemia is associated with poor outcome and high overall mortality. The aim was to analyze an interdisciplinary treatment approach of vascular visceral specialists focusing on the in-hospital follow-up in patients acute acute-on-chronic mesenteric ischemia. Methods From 2010 until 2017, 26 consecutive or chronic were treated by team. Data prospectively collected retrospectively evaluated. Throughout initial examination, extent bowel resection determined surgeon appropriate mode revascularization surgeon. routine included clinical examination ultrasound- CT-imaging for patency assessment survival as primary endpoint study. Results Out patients, 18 (69.2%) rendered open repair. Ten (38.5%) received reconstruction superior artery iliac-mesenteric bypass. Seven (26.9%) underwent thrombembolectomy artery. One patient infra-diaphragmatic aorto-celiac-mesenteric 8 who not suitable revascularization, 2 (7.7%) endovascularly 6 (23.1%) explorative laparotomy. mortality 23% (n = 6). mean revascularized group 20) 51.8 months (95% CI 39.1–64.5) compared 15.7 non-revascularized 6) − 4.8–36.1; p 0.08). median 64.6 months. Primary 16 after interventional 100% 89.9% follow-up. Conclusion improves if carried out time. Hereby measures are advantageous they allow assessment, resection, a one-stop fashion especially advanced cases.

Surgical revascularization in chronic mesenteric ischemia.

Chronic mesenteric ischemia (CMI) is a disease causing death either by starvation or enteromesenteric infarction. Diagnosis is often delayed before the patient is referred to a vascular surgery unit. Atherosclerosis is the main cause of CMI. Arteriography is essential in diagnosing CMI and delineating the atherosclerotic lesions. The revascularization procedure consists in an aortomesenteric by...

A surgical approach to acute mesenteric ischemia

Bowel ischemia may arise from a number of causes affecting the arterial and venous compartments of the mesenteric circulation. The rapid onset of acute mesenteric ischemia and the potential rapidity with which bowel infarction may occur explain the lethality of this disease. This review addresses the causes and consequences of arterial obstruction, focusing on the acute phenomenon of mesenteric...
